Typical setup

Choose a folder (iCloud Drive to sync your own devices, or On My iPhone to keep files local).
Tap + to photograph a receipt, or import from Photos or Files.
Open Pending Review, confirm tax / total / merchant, then Save.

If the folder won’t open

iOS can drop security-scoped access after a long stretch in the background. Open Settings in the app and choose the folder again.

If OCR misses tax or total

Retake the photo flatter and brighter. Orange fields on the review screen are low-confidence — type over them. Digital PDFs with selectable text usually parse better than photos.

Saves paused

A metadata file failed to decode. The app will not overwrite good files with an empty list. Fix or remove the corrupt file under Metadata/receipts/, then tap Retry Load in Settings.

Tax comparison

The meter is a planning aid. Paste the official IRS calculator result for the table amount. This is not filing advice and the app is not affiliated with the IRS.
