These Terms of Use govern your use of SALT Receipts, published by Petros Group. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. This page also serves as the custom End User License Agreement for the App Store listing. It supplements the Apple Media Services Terms; Apple’s terms control distribution mechanics on Apple platforms.
SALT Receipts is a planning tool. It is not a tax-preparation service, not e-file, and not a substitute for a CPA, enrolled agent, or the IRS. Estimates, the optional sales-tax table approximation, SALT-cap math, and any “recommendation” are unofficial. Confirm figures with the IRS Sales Tax Deduction Calculator and a qualified professional before you file.
SALT Receipts is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service or any tax authority. “SALT” refers to state and local tax, a common U.S. tax term.
You are responsible for the folder you pick, for backing up that folder, and for the accuracy of amounts you save. OCR can misread receipts. Review every scan before you rely on it.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms. We retain all other rights.
The app is provided “as is.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that OCR, totals, tax math, or IRS-table estimates are complete or correct.
To the extent permitted by law, Petros Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost deductions, penalties, or interest, arising from use of the app. Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
Do not use the app to break the law or to store other people’s receipts without permission.
See the Privacy Policy. The app does not operate an account or upload your receipts to Petros Group servers.
We may update these terms here and in the app. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms.
